🌿 Weddings at Oldbury Church 🌿
Oldbury Church has had the joy of hosting four beautiful weddings during 2024, each filled with love, laughter, and a touch of village charm.
From springtime ceremonies for Matthew & Georgina and Lesley-Ann & Tom, to a heartwarming celebration for Sam & Renalin — a day made even more special by the community’s support — every wedding has been a reflection of the warmth and spirit of our church.
A standout moment came during Kellie & George’s October wedding. When it was time to "kiss the bride," George briefly vanished behind the choir stalls—only to reappear with a carefully painted wooden box, lifting his bride onto it for their picture-perfect kiss! Laughter and cheers echoed through the church as the happy couple stepped into the sunshine, proving that love — and a little humor — make for the most memorable days.
If you're dreaming of a wedding filled with heart, heritage, and a dash of village magic, Oldbury Church is ready to welcome you.
Congratulations to all the happy couples — may your lives together be filled with love, laughter, and endless blessings!
St Paul’s, Hackett Lane

LGBTQI+
We are committed to being a church that is welcoming and safe for everybody. However, as an Anglican community, there are some restrictions still in place regarding what might be possible. If you are a same-sex couple who would like to explore a service of prayer following a civil marriage service, this is something that we can offer. Please do feel free to get in touch with Revd Joy whatever your request and she will do all that she can to support you.
Members of the LGBTQI+ community can be assured of a warm welcome at any of our services or events.
